Our coaching staff brings energy, expertise and a personalized approach to every lesson. Made up of experienced players and instructors who have been in those critical game-time situations, they know how to push, teach and motivate every step of the way!

Coach Nate
Baseball | Hitting and Fielding
Coach Nate Dill is a proud graduate of Fort Collins High School, where he earned First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, Colorado Top 50 honors, and proudly represented Team Colorado. He went on to compete at the Division I level at Butler University before finishing his playing career as a graduate student at the University of Mount Olive (DII). During his college years, Nate also competed in the Coastal Plains League over multiple summers.

Nate has spent the past three years coaching baseball at FCHS, while also serving as the Varsity Assistant Coach for the Lambkins volleyball program. Beyond high school athletics, he has coached a wide range of age groups at NORCO Volleyball Club and FCBC, furthering his impact on youth development in Northern Colorado.

With a versatile athletic background and a passion for player development, Nate is dedicated to helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. He especially values teaching the mental aspects of competition and strives to deepen athletes' understanding of the game while supporting them in achieving their personal and team goals. Nate is excited to embark on this new journey of moving into the player development side of the game.
Coach Brian
Baseball | Pitching
Coach Brian Ferrans brings over 25 years of playing and coaching experience to the field, with a deep-rooted passion for developing athletes both on and off the mound. A standout two-sport athlete at Ralston Valley High School, he earned First and Second Team All-Conference honors as a middle infielder and pitcher before continuing his playing career at Mesa State University.

His coaching journey began as an assistant at Fairview High School and has since included leading multiple youth teams with a strong focus on fundamentals, mechanics, and sportsmanship. Known for his technical expertise and positive coaching style, Coach Brian specializes in pitching instruction for all skill levels—emphasizing core mechanics, strength, command, and pitching IQ.

Even today, his competitive spirit and love for baseball shine as he continues to pitch in the WYCO NABA wood bat league, facing off against college-aged talent on Sundays.
Coach Brian takes pride in tailoring every lesson to meet the unique goals of each athlete, helping them build confidence, improve performance, and deepen their understanding of the game.


Coach Erin
Softball | Pitching
A proud Colorado native, Coach Erin Caviness is a graduate of Holy Family High School, where she led her team to a 4A State Championship and earned the title of 2018 4A Player of the Year. Her standout high school career also included honors such as First Team All-State, First Team All-Conference, and Conference Pitcher of the Year.
Choosing to stay close to home, Erin continued her softball journey at the University of Northern Colorado, competing at the Division I level for five years. During her collegiate career, she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Exercise Science, while becoming one of the most decorated pitchers in UNC history. Erin is a 3x First Team All-Conference pitcher, the 2024 Big Sky Pitcher of the Year, an NFCA All-Region selection, UNC’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year, and a 2x Big Sky Conference Champion. She led her team to two NCAA Regional appearances, facing off against top-ranked programs including Washington and Oklahoma State.
As UNC’s career leader in nearly every major pitching statistic, Erin now brings her knowledge, experience, and passion for the game into her coaching. With several years of experience in both private and group instruction, Coach Erin is dedicated to helping the next generation of athletes fall in love with pitching—just as she did. Her coaching style emphasizes strong fundamentals, the mental side of the game, and creating a positive, competitive environment where athletes can thrive.
